Denise Ball is Program manager for the Center for Renewable Energy & Sustainability as well as Program Coordinator for the NSF Collaborative REU program.  Denise has served in various capacities at Johnson C. Smith University, including leading the Service Learning and Community partnerships initiative within the Center for Applied Leadership and Community Development.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in community relations, and has played a coordinating role for the Council of Elders, a community leadership group in the Historic West End of Charlotte that brings together presidents of neighborhood associations, business leaders and community members to set priorities for their neighborhoods as well as spearhead the development agenda for the Northwest corridor of Charlotte.  Denise earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology from University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC).
