Jaron Hull is a senior at Johnson C. Smith University majoring in Sports Management and minoring in sustainability. Jaron is from Georgia and just finished his third year as a Golden Bull wide receiver. He is a well-respected student athlete who is noted for his positive representation as a Golden Bull while interacting with a broad diversity of people within the community. Jaron has experience working at Sustainability Village, most notably as a highly dependable team member who routinely delivered produce to the University cafeteria during a proof of concept trial operation of our student operated Farm to Fork program on campus. While enrolled in SUS 230 – Principles of Sustainability, Jaron participated in the ideation of our prospective student operated recycling program. This was a highly interactive semester of SUS 230 that included a collaboration with Trane Technologies Operation Possible program and partners from Strategic Energy Innovations (SEI).  While enrolled in SUS 231 – Advanced Concepts in Sustainability, he made vital contributions to the construction of raised bed gardens for Will of God Church in West Charlotte. During this course, Jaron also gained a strong interest in hydroponics and aquaponics. Jaron has been working as a social media intern for Charlotte’s Uptown Farmer's Market since the spring of 2022. We appreciate Jaron's service as a member of CRES!

Update: Jaron graduated in December of 2022, and we are pleased that he will be continuing to work with CRES post- graduation!
