Dr. Ronda K. Bibbs is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Johnson C Smith University, Charlotte, NC.  Dr. Bibbs earned her Bachelor and Master degrees in the area of Biology from Alabama State University.   While receiving her doctorate in the area of Microbiology, she had the privilege of being a scholar in the Center for Nanobiotechnology at Alabama State University.  Her doctorate work focused on the utilization of nanotechnology (metallic nanoparticles) on the effect against Streptococcus pneumoniae.  With high level resistance, alternative ways are crucial in combating the high adaptive nature of various bacteria.  Her research interest mainly focuses on nanotechnology, infectious diseases, malaria, parasitology, microbiology.
