Dr. William Booth, MLS (ASCP), Ph.D is a biochemist/ structural biologist and native of Raleigh, NC (USA). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He earned his Ph.D in Biochemistry from the University of South Carolina (Columbia). Dr. Booth is a structural biologist whose research interests are focused on determining how proteins look while identifying how they function using a technique known as x-ray crystallography. In the classroom, Dr. Booth teaches introductory biochemistry and chemistry courses. He is also a certified medical laboratory scientist and served as a paratrooper in the US Army.
